    Best Fighter in Your Lifetime

Hey fellas this is my first thread. obviously there is gonna be a range of age on the forum so people will have seen different fighters in different eras, im just curious as to the best fighter each of you guys has seen since you started to follow boxing. Im 22 years old and i've been watching boxing since I was 9. The best fighter i have witnessed is without doubt shane moseley. the guy is arguably the best lightweight of all time and his speed, combination punching, chin, heart and boxing skills are undoubted. There was a point when he fought oscar de la hoya where people were actually sugegsting he was the greatest P4P fighter of all time..... anybody else agree?? who you all got????

My fav fighter is Hagler. But I never got to watch him. I started watching boxing in 1996 when I was 10 and Mosley is the best I've seen. I PRAY he wins on Saturday.

Well I've followed him for years now, and unlike Tyson and Trinidad, He has yet to let me down.

After the trauma of Trinidad-Hopkins and Tyson-Douglas, I needed someone like Zag to come along.

Hopefully He'll get me some damn revenge against B-hop.

I am almost 36 and have been watching boxing since I was 8 years old that's 28 years nearly. I have been lucky to witness many many great fighters throughout the weight divisions here are some of my favourite great fighters I have been lucky to watch fight.

Myung Woo Yuh - WBA light flyweight champ, 17 defenses, lost title then regained it made 1 defense and retired with a 38-1 record and beat some great fighters.

                J.C.Chavez
                Aaron Pryor
                Roberto Duran
                Thomas Hearns
                Sugar Ray Leonard
                Marvelous Marvin Hagler
                Joe Calzaghe
                Roy Jones
                Pernell Whitaker
                Meldrick Taylor
                Larry Holmes
                Mike Tyson
                Lennox Lewis

And so many more if I thought about it for a while longer.
But the best I have ever seen not in terms of achievments or domination but the best naturally talented boxer who should have achieved greatness but never quite did was Michael 'Second To' Nunn. As for the best fighter overall it is too difficult to pick.

i love reading other guys opinions on this kinda stuff. michael nunn was a great fighter, i guess he'll be best remembered for dominatin toney though and getting himself knocked out... shame really awesome talent. a fighter i'd love to see more of is aaron pryor, amazing hand speed and combinations... would you say he was better than leonard in that department?

I think Leonard had the better hand speed and combinations but had they ever fought Pryor would have tore him apart IMO.

Check out youtube you should get some good fights of Pryor on there. There is a good one of Aaron Pryor vs Thomas Hearns fighting each other in the amateurs.
