I was watching Friday Night Fights when that mess happaned. Grant had won the decision and Butler had his gloves off. Grant reached out like to hug him and got caught with a huge shot. he looked like he was dead for a minute with blood comin all outta his mouth

It took me an hour to find last night. Although, the clip speaks for itself, it doesn't do the situation justice. Be sure to watch it with the sound on, Kellerman says something like, " This animal needs to be locked up!"

I also put a press conf brawl between Rahman and Lewis out there. Furniture is destroyed. Everybody remembers the Tyson-Lewis conf, and forget about the Rahman Lewis one!

Just seen it, Im not that impressed...However that one with barerra and morales is quite entertaining.....


Barerra seemed like a class act, why would he go off and sucker punch him like that?

What? I am shocked that all the Max haters (aka most people in boxing, definitely most people on BoxingScene) aren't jumping all over Max and making fun of him.

This was horrible. I remember after Butler hit Grant, Max still wasn't saying much bad about him at all. He spoke well of Butler when James was released from jail and had his return match.

Well, screw Butler. Call him the Guilty Hurricane. Cause he was heading for a journeyman career just like Hurricane Carter had (although the movie would make you think Carter was on the brink of doing anything special at all).

Younger brother of TV personality allegedly killed by boxer.

Los Angeles, CA (Sports Network) - James "the Harlem Hammer" Butler pleaded not guilty Friday to the murder of freelance sportswriter Sam Kellerman, the younger brother of Fox Sports Net's television host Max Kellerman.

Sam Kellerman, 29, was apparently murdered with a hammer, found dead Sunday at his burned-down apartment.

Butler, who was living at Kellerman's place since September, was also charged with arson. He was arrested Monday and held on $1.25 million bail.

Butler owns a 20-5 professional record. His most prominent moment came after a charity match held for the September 11 ********* attacks. He sucker-punched his opponent with a gloveless right hook as the two met for the usual fighters' embrace after the match.

The elder Kellerman is the host of "I, Max," a sports debate show. He was previously a boxing analyst for ESPN and host of the show "Around the Horn."

I remember seeing that punch...my jaw dropped...I was like, shellshocked! I shouted out,"He MUST be banned for life from the ring!!" In point of fact, I'm absolutely amazed that he was not sued for every legal aspect relative to physical assault. Quite candidly, the guy who was punched, was so relaxed & unsuspecting, that he could very well have had his neck snapped.

Butler should have been sitting in jail. Kellerman would be alive today if that had been so.

Not to bring up anything that is negative. But Max actually condoned and defended Butlers disgusting attack, writing in an article that Butler deserved leniency and even saying on Friday Night Fights that Butler should not be punished for his ^punching power^. As if Larry Donald being slapped by Rid**** Bowe and Barrera hitting Morales at a press conference was equal to a brutal, vicious sucker punch. Max is an idiot and good riddance to him. Unfortunately he is still using his fathers connections to work at FSN, his show is in the toilet and he is no longer part of the regular boxing crew, but at least Friday night fights no longer has to be burdened by Max and his redundant, ignorant and self-serving analysis.
