I think they sparred all week or the next week and Duran wanted to feel Benn out first

They sparred in Miami as well in about Feb '88, Mickey Rourke watched it

This vid is early Jan '88 (hence the xmas gut on Duran)

Someone answer the question we are all wanting to ask. Did Benn get the better of Duran during these sparring sessions? They didnt seem all out though?

          Thanks for sharing.

Roberto Duran is a legend. Man that guy is crazy one of the few who can fight at his age for the many years he did.

Would be funny as hell if Hatton did what Duran did to Benn in sparring. As Mayweather is posing and moving his head side to side, walk away then attack him as Mayweather comes forward. Great stuff.

Thats great that Benn is helping out the kids. But, does he ever wear headgear?

Nigel hurt him badly to the body in Miami, I know that, apparently Roberto was full of welts and **** over his ribs (according to Mickey Rourke)

Also, Benn knocked out Freddie Pendleton accidently (in Miami)

Duran didn't look that bad, he was working on defense, thats why he wasn't letting his hands go.

Duran was probably about 175 in that session

Would love to have seen Benn-Jones Jr or Jones Jr-Calzaghe, even in sparring or something lol

Why not? That's exactly how he looked in a lot of his fights lol....awful and massively overweight.
