Why does Hopkins get a pass for losing to Jermain Taylor twice?
Hopkins: "I'll Hand Calzaghe His First Loss"
Collapse

Hopkins makes fewer mistakes - damn right he does, but the mistakes Calzaghe makes, I don't think Hopkins has the handspeed to capitalize on it.
What it boils down to in my humble opinion is this - you all saw the Bika fight, and you all saw how many problems a genuinely dirty fighter gave Calzaghe, and who's the dirtiest fighter of 'em all?
Guessed it in one.
This will definitely be worth waiting for.Comment

Calzaghe is VERY good but makes a lot of mistakes. Hopkins on the other hand makes NONE! This fight would be boring but Hopkins would win a close UD. Hopkins is too smart. EVERY fight he comes up with a game plan to win and never makes mistakes. Calzaghe would get a few rounds because of how much he throws but Hopkins would punish Calzaghe for his mistakes and win 115-113 on all 3 score cardsComment

I agree with Addy. Hopkins makes less mistakes & the mistakes that Cal makes would get him countered all night. This fight would be one of the ugliest in history because Hopkins will make it ugly. He said it best that he neutralizes his opponents best weapon & he does. He did it to Winky & made him fight at a pace that suited him & the same would apply with Cal. Kessler had some success with countering Cal & he's not known for being the counter puncher that Hopkins is. Hopkins takes a VERY ugly decision in this one.Comment
