    ..16 Fights For 2008...

Essentially, I could pick about 7 or 8 of these fights happening in 2008, and I'd be a VERY happy person. However, in a perfect world, I'd get to see all of these fights, sooner rather than later. These are in no particular order and I wont even make predictions (bit too early for that), I'll just say a little bit about why I'd like to see the fight. You all can comment, post some extra ones if you'd like or just hate on my choices if it makes you feel better. Enjoy.

    Manny Pacquaio-Juan Manuel Marquez II
Who doesn't want to see this fight, at this point. I think it'll be be more back and forth than the first and I see it being VERY EXCITING.

    Juan Diaz-Joel Casamayor
Very interesting fight. Is it passing the torch or is the veteran gonna school the young buck? Just fight, we'll find out.

    Joe Calzaghe-Bernard Hopkins
To of the best fighters in the world. While they're fighting, they'll have a combined age of 75 plus years. So many variables would play into this. Hard one to call.

    Junior Witter-Paul Malignaggi
It'd be a good fight to make while they wait for Ricky Hatton to come back down, if that's what he would intend on doing.

    Wladimir Klitschko-Samuel Peter
This would name a TRUE world Heavyweight champion, and I think the fight would be a good one, quite like the first go-around.

    Mikkel Kessler-Edison Miranda
Good momentum builder for the winner and it'd let us know more about both fighters to determine if either should be expected to accomplish anything.

    Librado Andrande-Carl Froch
I think this would be an interesting fight, with two fighters trying to make a name in a division that will need a new champion, if Calzaghe indeed moves up. Andrada-Froch and Miranda-Kessler could be a nice little tournement.

    Sergio Mora-Arthur Abraham
This fight would be a VERY big step-up for Mora, and I don't care who he steps up against at this point. I just want it to happen. I also think Abraham has to prove something, so this fight makes sense.

    Vernon Forrest-Cory Spinks
It's a good match-up for 154 pounds and would set someone up to be looked at as the best jr. middleweight in the world. The division needs a true champion, so it works out well.

    Alfonzo Gomez-Zab Judah
Very interesting crossroads fight. The young guy with something to prove and the older guy with something left to prove. I like it.

    Edwin Valero-Jorge Barrios
Two sluggers ready to knock eachothers heads off. Both with something to prove... Sounds good to me!

    Shane Mosley-Floyd Mayweather
This is of course, if both win their fights. I think they will and this is the next logical fight. Would be a very good one, too. If I had to guess.

    Chris John-Jorge Linares
I just want to see Jorge Linares in a nice fight, and John is a decent boxer. I think Linares is an incredible fighter, and this would be a nice showcase fight.

    Ivan Calderon-Hugo Cazares II
    GOTTA MOVE REMATCHES.

    Daniel Ponce De Leon-Gerry Penalosa
This will settle that ****** argument that the Mexicans and Pinoys on this website have, so I'd be more than happy to see it happen.

    Oscar De La Hoya-Ricky Hatton
I think Hatton will lose, but with the proper re-building fight, he could still have a nice war with De La Hoya. I'd love to see the hype for this fight happen. GOOD Lord, I can only imagine.

    Anyway.. discuss.

ill love to see taylor vs miranda. both loss to pavlik way of ko.

but of course taylor chose to do a rematch. would have preferred him to fight miranda coz theres bad blood there, and it would prepare him for pavlik as well.

DLH vs. Cotto (mega event, great action, etc etc) tops my wish list, here are some others:

Cal vs. B-Hop, legacy fight. The promotion would be outstanding. Boxing would benefit greatly from that, and Cal will press the action so Hopkins has to actually fight. Hopkins is my fave active fighter, but I think Cal overwhelms him with activity. I wish they would fight at 168 so Hopkins could try to win his third undisputed title and end Cal's defense streak.

P.Williams vs. Cintron, apparently signed if Cintron wins Nov. 23. Can't miss action fight, unification, young lions facing off, doesn't get any better.

RJJ vs. Dawson. At this point, I don't think there's any doubt RJJ stops Tito and looks pretty good doing it (I love Tito, but he is just going to be too heavy and thus much slower and RJJ still has a few miles left in the tank). This would be the best choice for Dawson as he can get a HOF name on the resume and catapult to stardom and HBO money.

Pavlik vs. Arthur Abraham. It's time for AA to come to the states, this would be a phenomenal action fight.

Kessler vs. Bute. Hopefully on HBO, but would it be in Canada or Denmark? The fight isn't big enough in the US to be held in the States, but Bute holds a belt and Kessler is coming off a loss. However, Kessler just went to Wales and probably isn't up for going into another lion's den where he probably needs a KO to win. I hope it can happen somehow.

Miranda vs. Lacy. Assuming Lacy can beat Manfredo (who knows), this is a great action fight at 168 to determine perhaps who fights Kessler/Bute on HBO...I hope.

                    Pac-JMM II, obviously.

Juan Diaz-Michael Katsidis. HBO would be all over this, as would all hardcore fans. This is what BAD is supposed to be all about, so make it happen, Greenburg.

Mosley-Margarito. I'm picking Cotto to win this weekend (though I think Mosley gives him fits early, I think Cotto takes a questionable decision), and this is a great fallback fight for both, and a perfect co-feature to DLH-Cotto, at least in fantasy world. If GBP and Top Rank want to revitalize boxing with their alliance, putting on a DLH-Cotto/Mosley-Margarito show is a great start. Victor Ortiz can fight Torres as another bout along with Casamayor against David Diaz. Now I'm beyond dreaming...

I love C-Drone's idea of Zab vs. Alfonso Gomez. Very winnable fight for both, very good stepping stone to another big fight for both. Very good TV fight, so HBO would be interested in it as a co-feature or perhaps a BAD main event. Very good all around.

Wlad-Peter II. I think Wlad schools Ibragimov and Peter stops Maskaev, so this would be for three belts, with only Chagaev left to conquer for the winner.

Chagaev-Povetkin. Povetkin isn't going to get a Wlad fight until 2009 because the mandatory wouldn't be enforced for a while, so why not try to grab another title in a fight that would be huge in Russia.
