Second, Miguel Cotto devours Boxers. Being cute and trying to run around the ring quite simply does not work against Miguel. Try watching some of his fights. If Mosley is planning on playing hit and run he's planning on losing. I'll give him the benefit of the doubt and assume he realizes this the way that most people do at this point. The likelihood that Mosley's srategy is to outbox Cotto is next to nowhere. He's going to outbrawl him. Whether they go in planning that, or Cotto starts landing his power shots; Mosley will stand and fight. Shane is renown for understanding scoring and momentum, and he doesn't like to be hit without returning the favor.
I just said that I didn't think he'll do it. And you say"being cute and running around the ring does not work against Miguel". Let me tell you something, Floyd could do that to Miguel 15 rounds, he's just that good, and dont deny it. Miguel is good at cutting the ring in his harrassing style, yes, but Mosley and Floyd, both, are better than him OVERALL as a boxer. The only thing that Miguel, and it's still debatable, HAS over Mosley, is Fortitude and Heart. Miguel has always gone to "tame" his opponents, and he's been effective at that in his career. But how will he tame someone that, in my eyes and in the eyes of many, just can't be tamed? Of course Mosley can pick pocket fight him, he can say, and this is what the whole camp thinks, that he's just blowing smoke saying he'll come ready to brawl, and not really do it, same Floyd always does. He's preparing his opponent mentally ( I THINK ). He might do it, but it's not smart. Brawling with a younger, strong fighter is just not smart, even one with a "suspect" chin as everybody calls it. Cotto, addison and you KNOW, HAS a LOT of power to dish, even if he has done it against smaller guys, he has it, he'll just have to adjust. The thing about Cotto, is that he wont fight a strategy for a certain amount of rounds, he'll adjust to each round. And many experts have said that Cotto is hands down the best short range power puncher in the WW. I respect your opinions, and truly truly admit that you are one of the best on point analists in these forums, but stop jumping on people's asses so much man it just creates a bad attitude towards people. ANyways, let's see what happens.

The fundamental question of this fight is as much about how much punishment can Cotto take as it is about how much either man can dish out.

Cotto is going to dish out his power regardless.

If Mosley follows your strategy he takes more punishment.

Attacking Cotto is how you get him to stop punching. Running from him activates his predatory instinct. Fighting him as much as possible is going to get Mosley his desired result. He has to go on the offensive to beat Cotto.

And if you listened to Mosleys' most recent interview he plans to be offensive

If Mosley "really" goes full speed ahead agaisnt Cotto, Cotto will KO his ass out within the first couple of rounds. Mosley will run... Run Forrest Run!!! LMAO!!!

Sooner or later, Cotto will get two nice left hooks to the body that will tilt the fight on his favor. After that point, It will become an announced defeat for Mosley.

mosley hardly ever speaks his mind in prefight talk.

i can see mosley fighting on the outside and frustrating cotto. and cottos power is overrated by his fans. he couldnt do in featherfisted malignaggi.
cotto fans think he's going to cripple the bigger faster, smarter mosley.
mosleys handled punches from bigger stronger guys.
i must say though the way cotto gets stronger in the later rounds is awesome. we'll have to see how shane handles it. he is knowed to take rounds off.
