    Ricky Hatton

How come Hatton had so much trouble against Collazo?
I'm wondering if he goese with the same glame plan against floyd it won't be a good night for the hitman.

Why was he doing so bad vs Collazo?

took him too lightly maybe. he does have a habbit of letting himself go between fights.

He was doing bad because I think he claimed to have the flu that night, plus Hatton is a brawler not a boxer. He is no Calzaghe. I'd give Hatton alot better chances if Calzaghe was training hatton.

if he has a problem against boxers then why are people picking him to beat floyd?

            There are a few factors:

            1. He took the fight at something like 8 weeks notice after Laczano pulled out of a scheduled light-welter bout between him and Ricky.
            2. Collazo is a southpaw - the only people hatton lost to in the amateurs were all southpaws.
            3. Collazo is a natural light-middle.
            4. Hatton's team tried to pile muscle mass on him in such a short space of time as they thought he was too small for the 147 division. This in turn made him lose a lot of speed and stamina, which was evident in the later rounds against Collazo as his legs had completely gone.

Make no mistake - the Hatton the faces Floyd will be a completely different animal to the one that faced Collazo.

And, Collazo is one big slick boxer that possesses excellent skills. His a former belt holder and he took Mosely to a recent decision (that he lost convincingly), but it did go all the way. To make the story short: Collazo's no pushover and he gave Hatton a tough fight. But make no mistake about it, Hatton won on points easily. He just got wore out the last two rounds.

Styles and the fact that Collazo was also probably the top 1-2 fighters Hatton has faced in his career. When you fight against better competition its harder to shine.
