    How good was Jeff Lacy?

Obviously, Kessler did better than Lacy in his fight with Calzaghe. But in the end, Calzaghe ended up landing a ton of punches, marking up Kessler's face, and nullifying his boxing ability. More or less, Calzaghe was able to outclass Kessler, even though Kessler definitely did well. I had it 9-3 in rounds, even though I felt calzaghe probebly landed more shots than Kessler in just about every round.

but I think Calzaghe not only was much better than Lacy, but also he was just a horrible style for Lacy. Lacy is not the wild, skillless fighter everyone seems to think, but always tried to pick his shots. Kind of reminds me of a Rocky Juarez if you think about it. Kessler was also a fighter that picked his shots, but the difference is that Lacy's punches were just a bit wider, so it would take much longer for them to get to Calzaghe...which is why barely any at all landed, and he got tattoed in that fight.

but seeing that Calzaghe is able to beat up on so many world class guys, is Lacy actually better than people have been calling him? I think he was just in with a better guy, and in with a guy that was a horrible style for him.

Jeff Lacy was a very good fighter until Calzaghe ****d him and ruined his career. It's unfair for people to call him a bum just because he got destroyed by the #1 P4P fighter in boxing.

I was never really that impressed with Lacy. I see him as a good slugger. His first fight I watched was him vs Vanderpool and that was a war. Both guys were getting hurt and coming back. Lacy managed to beat him down in the end but it was to close for my liking. I think he is a good fighter but hes never going to be a great champ.

Joe Calzaghe out boxed Kessler. But Lacy, he embarrased lacy... That was an ass beating like no other. He took an ass beating for 12 rounds straight. While Kessler was a live opponent for all 12 rounds even though Calzaghe out pointed him and I didn't have it close like some ppl did. I think some people are dumb on this forum, this fight was pretty easy to score for calzaghe. Yet, some ppl try to make this look like hopkins/winky when it was hard to judge. And it obviously wasn't hard to judge.

Sorry sonofisis, but Calzaghe is the true #1 p4p fighter in boxing. Joe wins his fights convincingly and he leaves no doubt about who the winner is. Joe has Floyd's boxing skills and Pacquiao's speed and aggression, he is a far more complete fighter than Floyd and Pacman. Floyd shouldn't even be undefeated, I had him losing to Castillo and you could make a case for him losing against the Drag Queen.
