Kessler v Calzaghe showed a couple imporarnt things.

    Mikkel Kessler is GOOD.
I mean he has good power, solid defense, and doesnt have any real weaknesses.

    Calzaghe is REALLY ****ING GOOD.
He showed great handspeed and an excellent chin.
His poise in the ring is something to be commended, and he is way better than anyone else at SMW.

Joe is the real deal, and is second only to Floyd p4p wise.

    1) Mayweather
    2) Calzaghe
    3) Pacquiao
    4) Hopkins
    5) JMM
    6) Hatton
    7) Vasquez
    8) Pavlik
    9) Mosley
    10) Cotto

Yea i made a thread on the fact that Calzaghe should be #2 as well. I agree.

I think you have Mosley and Hatton to high though.

You know round for round that fight was never one guy dominating the other. Calzhage threw a ton of punches which made the difference. Honestly I thought CAlzhage looked sloppy at many moments in that fight and I thought Kessler seemed unwillingy to move away from his plan of counterpunching Joe and aggressively attacking him. If he would have turned it up on Joe and attacked more he would have changed the tone of the whole fight. CAlzaghe should certainly not be p4p #2 look at his resume of past opponents and it is obvious. He is top 10 but there are many more deserving guys out there.

pacquiao is equally as sloppy. But Pacquiao isnt a dominant, hasnt been champ for over a decade, and isnt the greatest ever for his division.

Its the complete opposite for Calzaghe, who has dominated his legitimate #1 challeger twice now

                My list is probably:

                1) Mayweather
                2) Calzaghe
                3) Pacquiao
                4) JM Marquez
                5) Hopkins (Only cause Wright had to move up so far)
                6) Vazquez
                7) W Wright (Cause he moved up so far and still gave a compettive fight)
                8) Cotto
                9) Hatton
                10) Pavlik

I just made that list though, i would porbably change the order, but those are all guys i would have in my top 10. Mosley would come in at 11 or 12

To be honest countering Calzaghe and letting him lead is by far the smartest way to fight Calzaghe, thats the tactic that has had the most success against him.If Kessler had been more agressive Calzaghe would have started countering him more and then he would have been in more trouble. His tactics were sound its just after awhile Calzaghe started countering Kesslers counters and Kessler seemed confused almost as if he didn't expect Calzaghe to be able to do that.
