An easy way for Calzaghe to get respect in NSB...

    Put this on his passport:

Oh, while his resume isn't what it could be, you need to remember two things:

    1. It ain't THAT bad. Just because you haven't personally heard of opponents or they haven't been hyped up by HBO, he's beaten six former world champions and two world champions. Also, while he could have done more, it's not always his fault. Remember, Hopkins signed to fight him, then pulled out. RJJ was never interested. This is all documented.

    2. If you talk about Calzaghe fighting bums... then say you're a fan of Roy Jones. That's just too funny for words.

Roy Jones was interested, he said he would go over seas even. But I agree with you, just because a fighter doesn't have a big name doesn't make him a bum.

who ever called Joe Calzaghe a bum? Joe ain't no bum but don't sit there and pretend that there isn't no media out there, when Joe beat a BIG name he got a BIG rep and thats just that he didn't need to put no USA on his passport all he needed to do was defeat someone of caliber with a BIG name, he beat the **** out of caliber opponents before but they didn't have those big, current and reputed names to back them up.. once Joe did so he got what he deserved and that was a highly reputed name and worldwide respect and he DIDN'T have to put USA on his passport to do it..

He's fought world class fighters in his division... eight of them, as I pointed out in the opening post.
