What is Joe Calzaghe's Biggest Win?

IMO Kessler. Some people on this board just dont know how Good Mikkel Kessler is and I would say Joe put the best performance in his career by outpointing the dane, I had it 115-113 for Calzaghe, some rounds were close, Scored 1,2,4,8 and 12 for Kessler, Calzaghe won 5-11 and won 3rd round as well. Who do you guys think is the biggest win for Calzaghe?

Mikkel Kessler is the biggest for me as I rate him as a very good boxer undefeated, young and in his prime, on top of that he unified the division, had 2 belts. And he was'nt no punching bag like Lacy

I agree. Kessler is without doubt the biggest name on his record. The guys in his prime, massive hitter. Defo think he's gonna rule the SM division for the next 5 years.

I think Kessler will dominate the SM division and this will make Calzaghe look even better as Calzaghe beat him.

Why is Viet an option and not the likes of Robin Reid?

Yeah i also agree. I also think if joe was 5 years younger people would probally be shouting for a rematch.

I know Joe said after the fight that Eubank is still his toughest fight, but surely he aint been in there with a bigger puncher?

Lacy was the bigger victory at the time because Americans were hyping him as the next Tyson, but Kessler is obviously the better win because he is a better fighter.

Disclaimer: Yes, I'm American. No, I didn't believe the Lacy hype.

Kessler is his best win but that fight probably wouldn't be shown on HBO in America if he didn't whip Lacy Kessler is his best win but the Lacy fight is where he became a house hold name to many non-euro fight fans I would love to see Kessler again perhaps against Winky Wright or Bute or Lacy. Let the winners fight Calzaghe-Hopkins and let the losers fight Wright-Kessler. Call me crazy but I think Kessler could beat Wright. Mainly because Wright doesn't use any of the head movement that Calzaghe showed last night. Wright today stands upright with gloves high and walks his opponents down but with Kessler's pinpoint punches and good jab could shock many Americans(Not Me) by beating Wright.

Beating Winky wouldn't be that big of an accomplishment. Winky showed that he wasn't very sharp at 170 against Hopkins, 168 wouldn't be much different. I'd easily pick Kessler in that fight.

I think how he dominated Lacy was better. It put him to where he is right now. It's why he was the fav. over Kess to begin with.

He befuddled Lacy like no other.
