  • Roy Jones Jr at 168 would have beaten Calzaghe

I rate calzaghe higher than Jones ONLY AT 168 lbs, because of the accomplishments at 168, I rate Jones at 175 really because thats the division he has been longer in, and overall higher, But you guys need to remember Roy Jones at 168 was a ****ing Freak, He was faster than calzaghe, more power and sick boxing ability, I think in history he was the only guy who could have beaten Calzaghe at 168, I do think Prime Eubank and Benn and list of other fighters at 168 would have had trouble with Calzaghe's workrate and speed, People always bring up the chin issue, but they forget Roy Jones Jr beat a two time ****ing Heavyweight who gave Holyfield all he could, he moved from Heavyweight to Light heavyweight, do people have any idea how weight drained he was, loosing 30 pounds is not good, it was a mistake Jones made. Roy was literally forced to move up because he was kicking too much ass. He never lost a round in that division he was never hurt at any time of his career until he came back loosing 30 pounds.

What do you guys think HONESTLY who would have won Prime vs Prime at 168 lbs? Jones had the edge IMO in almost everything, Roy's reflex were crazy as well, he could make you look very silly, IMO at 168 pounds Roy Jones beats Calzaghe.

i pick Calzagh based on the fact RJJ Struggled with Good tall Southpaw's who used the jab like Frankie Liles ,Tarver i know Joe is not as tall as Tarver etc but he is nearly 6ft and he does use his jab very well and he is faster than Liles & Tarver, he has a grannit chin he can turn from Boxer to fighter when he needs to his workrate is immense aswell ,he can make adjustments that is 1 of his best Qualities IMO

Hopkins was way off his peak when he fought RJJ & James Toney style was tailor made for RJJ , Joe would find Roy he is an intelligent fighter who uses a great southpaw jab and attacks from angles cause he has great footwork

I think Calzaghe would have beaten ANYONE else apart from Jones at 168.

To remind you guys not to be biased and dont bring up the LH version of Jones where he dominated, the 168 Pounds version of jones where he had a good chin, great speed, great stamina, great power.

Just look at this video and then honestly answer my question

He dominated Toney at 168 which was one of his best performances.

shame Toney threw about 1 jab in that entire video. That shows nothing, other than what a disrespectful prick Jones is.

Toney was tailor made for RJJ if they fought a 100 times RJJ would have won ,Calzaghe could'nt be anymore different than Toney

Michael Nunn Boxed Toney's head off untill he lost his focus and got caught late in the fight
