    Eddie Chambers

I have just watched the brock chambers fight and i was impressed with chamers defence ability similar to wink wright with the high guard and was good at slipping brock's punches. i was very impressed with his hand speed and his punches had good snap and a bit more power than i expected. he also seems to be quite strong for his size. I think that he could beat a wide clubber like sam peter and his style would be perfect for that sort of a fighter. i do see a few problems in chambers though he tended to walk straight forward with that high guard and would be very open for accurate straight punches like the one wlad throws. another problem is he is very very slow to start a fight which again will be a big problem against wlad. He was also open to body punches even against brock who was terribly slow although he did block some of them. The biggest thing that i don’t understand about chambers is why he doesn't throw more punches. he has very fast hands and is very accurate with his punches. if he had snapped the jab out and thrown more combos he could well have stopped brock. I notice that brock was stunned a few times and chambers could have opened up and finished him but he didn't.

I think that if chambers is more active he will have a chance against povetkin i think that will be a close fight but he will have to make some adjustments to his style if he is going to be a threat to wlad. I believe though that if he can make some adjustments to his style he could be good.

this is what the semi's come down to. Is Povetkin constantly pressuring Chambers going to take him out of his rhythm or is it going to awake a sleeping giant. No one really has pressured Chambers yet like Povetkin will, another thing is that Chambers let Brock score with too many punches even if they were some weak ass punches, like welterweight type ****. So if it comes down to decision Povetkin might have an upper hand with scoring to the body of Chambers. But I still think Chambers UD.
