With joe c claiming to move up to 175 I hope this fight happens. It would be a great victory for either fighter who wins.

I don't doubt Hopkins skills but his age and work rate would be seriously a big disadvantage. I can see Joe outworking B Hop to a UD. Hop did well against Taylor some rounds but he couldn't keep up the pace for the full 12 and since Joe's stamina and work rate are pretty damned impressive I can see it being a wide UD.

Joe is stylistically a nightmare for Roy, southpaw stance favours Joe too and a punch output of 1000 is too much for Roy who throws around 600.
Prime Roy takes him but now....
Hopkins won't be the favourite in a fight against Calzaghe and Dawson would have a chin problem I guess.

is this the silliest post of all time?
Lacy can punch and apparently was supposed to be a boxer too, Kessler can punch, Eubank was a renowned power puncher and very stylish boxer who himself had a long distinguished career. Mitchell certainly punched. Joe Calzaghe has been hit hard by hard men, and floored too. What you seem to forget is that Calzaghe has been in with stylists AND boxers. His chin is second to none, second to none, so to suggest he would be stopped by a hard puncher is ridiculous.

Last I checked Kessler could box and punch, and do it pretty well. Calzaghe cemented his spot as the best 168 lber ever. He has his signature win, and he can move on to bigger and better things.

Kessler can't box or punch because he is from Europe and everyone knows that boxing and punching is banned in europe because there isn't enough money.

Take it easy guys, Calzaghe has been boxing for longer than this kid is alive. What do you expect from the little punk, a sensible lucid argument?

Roy would be to smooth for him and still carries power, as for dawson the kid can box his ass off he may be green in the sense of comp.. and opposition. But Joe loses to anyone who can box.. I think he would beat Kelly Pavlik and Taylor, Winky, Miranda and Green... But the 3 i named all fair a greater chance in beating him then he does to them!
now Kessler was a power freak who was very overrated right? then why you bet on an overrated power freak? truth is Kessler isn't no power freak, against anyone ELSE he would have won, he came to fight, YOU just don't like Joe and are a biased fan, when one doesn't do it you **** on him and look for someone else to do it, you were exactly the same kind of person I was talking about in that other thread who was going to back up on his words and plead the 5th, why can't you just recognize Joe for the masterful Boxer that he is, he took Kessler apart, broke him down round after round to a point where leading up to the 12th Kessler almost looked discouraged.. Joe put on a lesson, he taught an undefeated, strong, big and pretty quick kid who was 7 years younger than him a thing or two in Boxing.. give him his respect, stop looking for the one to beat Joe and start looking at the ones that haven't.. 100
