    Rocky Juarez

Obviously the kid is durable, we've seen his power and brief showcase of skill. And if you ask me, that cut on his eye basically saved his career from sinking too deep. Because people are gonna be stuck on that "what if he wasn't cut" scenario for awhile. And Rocky should look at that as an oppertunity and a blessing. He should look at it as an oppertunity and head straight back to the gym and the very first thing he should focus on...is a right hand. They need to turn that right hand into dynamite, because if they don't, he's not gonna get to where he needs to be.

Anyways, I thought this was too risky of a fight for Marquez to be honest. I thought Marquez would dominate early and start to slip up slightly toward the end and that Juarez left hook would show up out of no where. Not because Marquez wouldn't be able to pick it up, but because of how easy he would manouver on this kid early, i thought Marquez would fall asleep late, but Marquez stayed professional from the first round and completely dominated.

All in all, neither of them lost. Juarez now has a moment in his career to finally go back and find that progressive edge and thirstyness to develope that he hasn't had, as oppose to stayin as that one punch fighter, and Marquez proves that his best asset is now his craftiness. Bring on Pac =P

I was actually thinking something like that but I havent yet heard anyone say it (even Ferocity). I guess it was really that lopsided. A bout with with Pacquiao would be next to impossible, I dont even know if Rocky would even be feasible to return, thats 3 staright title shots that goes pppffftttt..... i dont know man....

I actually think Pac/Juarez would be closer than Barrera or Marquez were for Juarez.I mean these guys boxed his ears off......Pac would **** with him and probably beat him soundly but it would be more exciting than watching Barrera and Marquez put a clinic on his ass......That being said I don't like Juarez and never have......he has gotten some big opportunities his last few fights but failed.....he was thrown to the wolves quite quickly. His handlers should get him a couple of confidence building fights.

lol I'm not talkin about people on boxing forums being stuck on that "What if he didn't cut," I'm talkin about the people that are going to be responsible for his future matchmaking. I think Juarez' name will still be pretty high on the list, not as high as it use to be...but pretty high.

Just this time, like the dude above said, they should give him a confidence bout. Give him a bout to try some new things, like a right hand or somthing. They shouldn't throw his newbie ass to the sharks for atleast another 2 or 3 fights. I don't even think he should fight Guerrero just yet.

I've always considered Juarez a borderline elite fighter. Like an 89.

You could call him an A class fighter but then you'd obviously be ignoring the fact he really hasn't had the career defining win.

It's the obvious things though. For one...........he has crazy punching power. At one point everyone was ****ting their pants over his knockouts straight off the Olympic scene, but he then carried that power into fights against better opposition. He's a better fighter than people give him credit for though, yeah.

Yeah I remember watchin him on showtime fighting that albino lookin Dominican. The Dominican was pretty much winning every round, until he got caught with that Knock Out of the year canidate left hook.

After that, It looked pretty evident he would have trouble without that left hook. I'm surprised that even at this time in his career he's still fightin the same fight over and over and over. All these prospects/veterans from Cotto, to like Barrera, they've all improved and started to try new things. I mean Cotto use to just dig in and ****, now he cuts the ring off and sets up those body shots with straight rights and lefts, Barrera started to Box later in his career etc etc..

I just think if Juarez would take a new approach as oppose to his robot style lol, and try to break his opposition down a little bit...then yeah, he could expect that left hook to make noise later on. But to just rely on that punch going into the 12th round over and over with little success, lol c'mon, it's time for a new game plan. I don't know exactly how good he can be, but one things for sure, he can be alot better then he is now i think.

I think that fight was Rockys' gutsiest performance since his loss to soto, I rather see him lose like that, than win like he did against hernandez.

he also has no business above 126.That left hook he landed on marquez? Thats a trademark Rocky KTFO punch, but hes a small dude , he made weight and came into the ring with a ****ing gut.

I hope he moves down to fight Robert Guerrero at some point, if he cant win that belt, he should consider his goal of being champ a futile effort.

Thats true, he stayed in there and proved his durability.

lol But yeah, in the first round Marquez blocked one of those left hooks and Marquez' upper body still got tilted to the left. I was afraid Marquez would eat that punch later on, but it just got weaker as the fight went on.
