Povetkin likes to jump on the inside, in which case Chambers' defense would not be as effective. I think that Povetkin's uppercut, which is not bad btw, would present a lot of problems to Chambers. And if Brock, who was slow as hell last night, could unload a lot of body shots, weak as they were, Povetkin would work that body all night long. Chambers is soft, I think Povetkin's pressure would break him in the later rounds.

Chambers is not going to fight in Germany and Povetkin's promoter, Sauerland, will not want to have a fight in the USA. Does that mean that they will have to go to the purse bid? Whoever wins it, should stage the fight where they want, right?

I agree but if chambers can let his hands go he will frustrate povetkin. the thing is povetkin will get inside to his advantage we have not seen chambers in a war on the inside a war he would loose against sasha.

Well, Povetkin's last fight was Byrd, who, even at the old age, is faster than 90% of the boxers out there. If not faster, Byrd is definitely on par with Chambers. Povetkin went inside rigorously and that's where Byrd did not have the answer. I think that even if Chambers lets his hands go, he doesn't have the power to hurt Povetkin. Povetkin will probably be willing to eat a couple of shots to get inside.

Let's hope they don't use the same ref as in Povetkin vs Byrd, that stoppage was ridiculous.

The fight was stopped by Byrd's corner, ref had nothing to do with it.

I guarantee you that Chambers will be punished to the body, I dont think Povetkin will land many head shots but the body shots are there for the taking. When he goes to do that Chambers is going to through fast combinations and I just think this cycle will be repeated. Eddie hasn't been pushed by any fighter so I wanna see how he does when the other fighter is as ambitious as him. Eddie Chambers UD
