yup it's a rarity for HW's, but then again chambers is definitely more of a natural CW.
how do you guys think that defense would fair against the big punchers though?
is it just a myth that a strong guard like that wouldn't last long with the heavy hitters? i mean, people say that heavyweight boxing takes an entirely different skill-set as opposed to all the other divisions under it...tricks and techniques that work in the lower classes wouldn't necessarily work because of how hard these big guys hit and how strong they are. do you guys take this as true? or is it just the fact that most heavyweights don't possess that level of skill and craft. take inside fighting, for example. sans guys like toney and other smaller heavyweights, and rid**** bowe, i've never seen guys who were taller than 6'4" and weighed more than 240 have a constant inside battle the way that corrales and castillo would (guards up protecting the body and head, both guys leaning into each other, both guys throwing combinations to the head and body at close range). is this because they just don't know how? is it because it isn't advisable? or is it just physically not probable given their mass?
Eddie fought very smart .. I was shocked that it was a split decision
Eddie dominated the second half of that fight ... landing more and the harder shots
for a small heavy .. he is surprisingly quick in upper body movement and handspeed.
I've never seen Chambers fight before ... but he's impressive and definetly a top 10 talent .. I would like his chances against anyone at Heavyweight minus Wlad and Sam Peter.
hahaha yeah imagine trying that against David TUA ahahha
Not so bad against Tua because that defense is good for picking off the wide shots. Pretty much why Winky dominated Tito, and had problems with Taylor. Taylor just threw sharp straight punches through Winky's guard. Something Wlad would do with ease.
