Roman took the fight to the normally aggressive Ouma and won 95-94, 96-93 on two cards. Ouma, who was awarded a gift knockdown in round eight by referee James Jen Kin after landing a clear low blow, won 95-94 on the third card. Earlier in another shocker, unheralded featherweight Miguel Munguia (16-7-1, 13 KOs) outworked previously unbeaten Jose "Pit Bull" Diaz (14-1, 4 KOs) over ten rounds. Scores were 96-93, 95-94, 97-92. Diaz is the brother of WBA/IBF/WBO lightweight champion Juan Diaz.
