Mosley-Cotto: Was there a similar fight??

This fight is going to be one of the best of the year. I think it is a stink proof fight. Unless the ref or officials ruin it!!!

I am leaning towards Mosley in this fight. I have some reservations about his age though. If he grows old in this fight he is in deep ****.

This fight reminds me of Chavez-Taylor a little bit. The obvious difference being that Cotto doesn't have the chin or inside fighting focus of Chavez.
But the flow of the fight could be similar. Mosley resembles Taylor a little bit. The difference is Taylor was a bit more explosive but didn't have as much signiture on his punces as Mosley.

I think that this fight will be fought primarily in the middle of the ring. This will be to Mosleys doing. I also think that Mosley's jab will be key. I think Mosley needs to be careful of flicking the jab out there. This could be a good chance for Cotto to land his right hand over the top. Cotto is heavy handed and could swell Mosley's eye if he lands enough of the right hand.

I think Mosley is going to pull this off but will suffer some damage in this fight. I watched Judah-Cotto the other night and I really believe Cotto is going to fight a punishing fight like he did in that fight. For the first part of the fight it will be Cotto that has to deal with Mosley. For the middle and end of the fight it will be Mosley that has to deal with the consistent onslaught of Cotto.

Mosley will be different than Judah because Mosley has 1) a better chin 2)Fights with more consistency over the course of 12 rounds. 3) Can rally late in a fight 4) Is a more educated and potent finisher 5) Doesn't get overconfident like Judah

Good post. I think that Cotto will look better against Mosley than he did against Judah... Cotto by late TKO. (Jack or ref stops the fight)

Cotto isn't capable of boring. He is capable of getting knocked out though.

It's tough to compare it to anything because both guys kind of have their own unique style.

Agree, I also think he will look better against Shane. I have Cotto by late TKO and Miguel IMO will be backing up shane during the entire fight.

I watched the Zab Cotto fight again last night. I didn't realize how few punches Zab threw. He rarely put together any more than two to three punches at a time. Allot of that was Cotto, but I still think Mosley wins this fight. He puts punches together very well, along with decent power.

Maybe the reason he thre very few punches was because of Cotto's relentlessness. The more punches Zab threw the more chances that he would get hit especially after feeling cotto's power. That's my take on it.

No offense man but you're not even in the proper area code with this stuff..

Cotto AIN'T got no ****ing right hand like you're talking about.

                    That's a fantasy.

Mosley is the one who's going to be landing the COUNTER right hand over the jab. Not frikin Cotto!

                    And Chavez/Taylor???

                    No chance.

Mosley has POWER. Cotto is gonna get BLASTED on.

Thank god this **** will be over soon..
