Povetkin doesent have the power to beat wlad

I saw his fight against byrd and i was impressed with his handspeed , his combinations particularly his body attack . its seldom now you see heavyweights attack the body . The down side of povetkin is that he doesent have much power in his punches and he doesent seem to have much head movement,he is pretty easy to hit . His punches against byrd looked like slaps . This is only the second time i have seen him fight and while i don't think he cant beat wlad. He could probably beat anyone else in the division at this point .

It's very hard to tell, Povetkin only has 14 fights and his chin hasn't been tested yet. Could he KO Peter? Probably not. Could he outbox him? Yes. Would he get caught in the process and knocked down/out? Probably yes. While his defense has improved a little, it is still work in progress.

He simply needs more fights, he is too green to fight top 10. His progress is unbelievable though, defeating Byrd, even aged, in his 14th fight is impressive to say the least.

I think his fight with Brock (or maybe Chambers but I doubt it) would give us a better idea.

why the hell not? I always stated how overrated peter's power is,,,,and it should now be obvious to everyone that peter is not a big big puncher as he couldnt even so much as make a totally exhaused jameel mccline flinch from his punches

I'm gonna base my opinion on Sam Peter with his next fight, he struggled against McCline and Toney I, if he comes back hard against Maskaev then yea he probably could beat Povetkin since povetkin likes to stand there and take shots.
