You're right, Jeff Lacy wasn't a big name, neither is Kessler.

Kessler is only a big name if you started watching boxing about a month ago, Kessler aint fought no one, supermiddleweight is one of the weakest divisons in boxing.

****ing Lacy, hmmmm, i never hyped him, to be honest, i picked Joe in that fight the same way im picking him to win now, the real big names in boxing are guys the like Jones, Toney, Hopkins etc, and dont tell me those guys would fight world class fighter and each other, but they didnt wanna fight Calzaghe cos thats Frank Warren **** talk.

Eubank was a big name, fair enough, but the reality is, if Kessler was a big name this fight would go PPV in the US, but as usual its FREE-TO-AIR, that gives you an indication of how big a name Kessler is.

Kessler is a much better fighter than Lacy, Before the Calzaghe-Lacy fight Kessler was ranked ahead of Lacy as well. Kessler and Calzaghe are both Big in Europe. Seriously, No wonder Calzaghe does'nt want to go USA when 30,000 ppl go to see him here, he earns here better and more people see him here than they would in USA, but Joe said its about Legacy so he will come USA. If calzaghe loses this fight i would'nt call him a bum, both of these guys are very good, and whats even better they are fighting each other. Its a shame someone's 0 has to go....

I wouldnt say Kessler is a MUCH better fighter than Lacy, i would say Lacy underestimated Joe and got his head taken off. (As i predicted)

Personally i have nothing against Kessler, i just dont like his style, his one weapon against joe is his right hand, otherwise i reckon he will get overwelhmed, but like i said, if Kessler wins, he deserves it, lets see what happens tommorow, either way, for one of them, the hype will be over.

Supermiddleweight will easily be the best division in 2008:

            Joe Calzaghe
            Mikkel Kessler
            Lucien Bute
            Carl Froch
            Jeff Lacy
            Denis Inkin
            Andre Ward
            Andre Dirrell
            Jean Paul Mendy
            Anthony Hanshaw
            Allan Green
            Anthony Mundine
            Jean Pascal
            Edison Miranda
            Jermain Taylor
            Kelly Pavlik

            I see a lot of match-ups

              I see a lot of match-ups
              1) This is Likey to be calzaghe's last fight at 168,
              2) Edison Miranda got exposed
              3) Allan Green aint all that
              4) Lacy's carrer is over (pretty much)
              5) Now compare these names to the names at 147 pounds.......

Hmmm, Mayweather, Hatton, Cotto, Mosely, Williams, Cintron and Clottey, against the names from above, i know which divison ill be choosing.

if joe really cared about legacy he would of gone to the states 5 years ago and gone after hopkins/jones, fair enough joe pulls in the crowds at home fighting mario veits, sakio bikas and peter manfredos but he cant really complain about respect and legacy when its all over, greatness doesnt just fall in your lap, you got to go and earn it

He will get jobbed unless he knocks Joe out. That is the only way he can win in Joes backyard.
