Mayweather would be 146-148 on fight night anyway. Boxers routinely dry down the 8 pounds. Actually, more.

Hatton will be the heavier man in the ring.

    • I WAS WONDERING WHEN THE HATTON GROUPIES WERE GONNA START TO POOP THEIR PANTS AND MAKE EXCUSES.

FIVE WEEKS OUT.... A BIT EARLIER THAN EXPECTED.

How is that not an advantage?

Have you ever had to make weight for anything, fatboy?
Options arent good when you have to pick the lesser of two evils.

Evil #1 is getting power at the expense of speed by going to 147

Evil #2 is getting speed at the expense of power by coming in below the limit.

either way he's ****ed and disadvantaged. He wanted the fight, so whatever its his choice, but dont pretend like it wont play a roll in the outcome of this fight.

the fact that you care so much about defending your indefensible position speaks volumes about your insecurity with your mayweather fetish.

Their physical abilities are set when they are required to meet the 147 lb weigh in.

wow! i see you are already getting your excuses ready for Dec 8th huh? Once Floyd beats Hatton, let me guess, you will say that hatton was not at his best weight. LAME!

wow, just because its an excuse doesnt make it not TRUE. I dont mind that the fight is at 147 since mayweather is the top dog and should be allowed to set the terms, but a match up at 140 is clearly in hattons favor. This is insanity and inanity, Im going to sleep.

ANSWER THE QUESTION: WHAT IS STOPPING HATTON FROM COMING IN AT WHATEVER WEIGHT WORKS BEST FOR HIM?

“Normally when I weigh 140, I normally get in the ring about 152,” said Hatton, who eked out a 12 round decision over the New Yorker, but faded down the stretch. “And against Luis Collazo I think I came in about 158, 159. I tried to make myself as big as him when really I wasn't. And so I think I'm going to come in on the night at the weight that I perform best at in the ring, and that will be 152.”

ITS 7 POUNDS, SO WHAT? and hatton as the oppurtunity to come in less than 147 on fight night. so no, you cant make no excuses. if somebody brings that up as an excuse after the fight, they are just pathetic.
