No after I think the 6th or 7th round you could see exactly where the fight was going and it wasn't in Ried's favor...Comment

This was a very good fight, I think Reid probably had 4 of the first 6 rounds plus a knockdown and a point deduction against Tito.
This was one of Tito's better performances. Tito's first fight at 154 and Reid was noticably bigger than Trinidad. Not talking about height but in arm size, shoulder width, chest, all of that. He just seemed so much stronger early.
Tito rallies from losing early to to knock Reid down a total of 4 times. Especially impresssive is that he does this in spite of the fact this is one of the worst officiated fights I have ever seen. Reid's trunks were almost literally up to his elbows, I have no idea how Tito was supposed to be able to land a body punch and every one that he threw draws a warning from Mitch Halpern. Reid took advantage of this circumstance by throwing and landing real low blows back at Tito throughout the entire fight. The psychological effect that has to take in a difficult fight like this agaisnt a world class opponent must be incredible and for Tito to maintain his poise at a point where he is losing and eventually take over and knock Reid down 4 times without being able to throw body punches at all, not your average performance.Last edited by The Troll; 02-03-2008, 08:40 AM.Comment

Reid could have been an all timer. He had that sort of talent. He was never the same after this one though.Comment
