I'll back you up on that actually. It is kinda ridiculous. However, I don't think its a case of him not being ABLE to make the weight..

He's just an idiot for getting up to about 250 in between fights. Still though.. After he looks awesome against Mayorga he should continue fighting. Vargas/De La Hoya 2, baby..

Yeah, his weight problems are all on him...how the hell are you gonna allow yourself to blow up to 250 after you last fought at 154?!?!?

We'll see what happens I guess though in the fight. If Vargas gets his ass KO'd, he deserves it! If Mayorga gets his ass beat, he deserves it too as usual for all the ****-talking he does!

I see the fight like this:

vargas is getting somewhat lazy not being able to make weight...he's not some 20 year old who is growing...he's either lazy with training or lazy with his eating.

Vargas isnt the greatest boxer in the world...and with the extra weight he may very well be unable to.

If mayorga makes it into a brawl (which i think is what it will turn into within 3-4 rounds) then mayorga has a big advantage.

and we all know mayorga can sure take a punch.
