    130-genaro hernandez
    135-Jose Luis Castillo
    140-Ricky Hatton
    147-Carlos Baldomir

now name one fighter in our lifetime that did the same thing. not pernell, not oscar, not roy. floyd has outshone them all.
This fight is 147 WW. At 140, when Floyd was in the division he completely skipped out on fighting the best at 140. That being Kostya Tszyu. No, don't talk about 140. That's a hole in Floyd's record for sure.

Nevertheless, beating Hatton will definitely look good on the resume because Hatton is the 140 champ right now. I just don't think he'll beat Hatton. And if he does, it will be by another chicken run decision. Rest assured, he can talk all he wants, but IMO he won't trade with Hatton unless he's absolutely forced to. It's up to Hatton to force Floyd to fight. He can do it.

the only question you need to answer for yourself is whether or not Ricky hatton the current Ring champ @140. if floyd beats him at 147 he will still have beaten the best fighter at 140. having come up himself from 130.

hatton seals floyd's legacy at 140 and puts to rest any kosta tszyu questions that pop up from time to time.

when floyd was at 140 kostya wasnt too eager to fight him..
he was too busy gettin beat by hatton
and initially at 140 i dont think hatton was too eager to fight floyd either
he needed to gain a lil bit more experience and now he has and has stepped up to the plate

So Mayweather says Manchester disrespected him?

What did he expect? He was ****ting on their man all that week.

What Floyd is really saying is the Manchester fans hurt his feelings, riled him up, made him nervous, and burst his bubble.

              He's soo emotional.

I think Hatton will actually lose this fight but win the popularity contest.I've a funny feeling that Mayweather probably has too many advantages, home court better weight etc,so will win but I can def see Hatton just chasing him around the ring and Maywetaher completely avoiding as much actual contact as possible.Maybe this will be the first time the loser of a fight actually wins more in the long run, firstly for having the balls to face the best a weight higher in his own backyard and secondly taking the fight to him and fighting the way fans love to see boxers fight

Floyd is doing what he has to do to promote the fight. At the same time I think he enjoys jawing at Hatton because he and Hatton have been exchanging jabs over the last year or so. As far as the actual fight goes I think Floyds is going to have to use speed to catch Hatton coming in with clan shots. I DO think Floyd can definitely hurt Hatton. For Hatton he has to keep the fight close range tie up and punch. It may not look pretty but thats will be what he has to do to try to win. If I'm floyd I worry about how to deal with the pressure Hatton applies and try to make it a stick and move fest. If I'm Hatton I worry about Floyds speed and I wouldnt doubt his ability to do damage with a clean shot. I don't think anyone would argue that Floyd made the better transition to 147lbs considering Hattons brief appearance there didn't last long. That doesnt mean Hatton can't win, It just means he has to respect Floyd strength at that weight a little more than a lot people think.
