I didn't know the word until I came to this website.. I asked around and the general consensus was, it's a word used by computer geeks and nerds who spend half their day on lord of warcraft and such games.. I dare not use it outside of this forum.

I don't know if this is accurate but I think this was invented by a poster named manny p who now uses the handle benjamin. Haven't seen him around lately but you may check his previous posts find out that he antedated all peeps using the slang pwned.
