Floyd is going to 'Baldomir' this one. Put some damage on the silly pink man early, then win the rest of the fight with his feet.
You say that as if its something positive. That was probably one of Floyd's worst performances of his entire career. If he does that, it will only hurt him and his marketability.

If winning every round of a fight is one of the worst performances of his entire career then any fighter would be happy to have his career. Just because you didn't enjoy the fight doesn't make it a bad performance.

What would hurt his career more? An ugly win, or a pretty loss? An ugly win still gets him the Cotto/Mosley winner. A loss of any type affects his standing, legacy, earnings, etc.

        Win First. Entertain Second.

You hear this, a 120-108 win is one of the worst of his career.

I don't blame him for running from Baldomir. That was just a good business decision. No way Mayweather successfully dukes it out with Baldomir. Easy boxing lesson though. Baldo tough Class B, like early Gatti, but not Class A fighter.

If that was Floyd's best then he can never be called a great fighter.

              Not by a long shot.

It is his best, so it comes up way short of that of a great fighter.

Floyd will never stand toe-to-toe with anyone with a pulse, even if you paid him a billion dollars. Some people call it smartness, but some call it COWARDICE.

Shutting out another fighter is never easy. Shutting out the lineal champ of a division is even harder. Shutting out a guy who outweighs you by 15 pounds is harder yet. Shutting out the lineal champ who is 15 pounds heavier and 3 divisions above your starting weight is quite an accomplishment. Whether you're too ****** to realize it or not, its a nice feat.

Nobody but you would call it "smartness". Really.
