Curious about the ethnicity of Floyd fans.

You are a Cotto fan though correct? Although I don't like it most black people are Floyd fans for the simple reason he is black and on top. This isn't the way it should be but it is how the world works.

Yes i am a Cotto fan, but im a fan of his fighting style. Im not a fan of his just because he an i are both Puerto Rican.

Just like someone posted earlier people chose to be fans of people because race or nationality which is ****** but it is the way of the world. I choose to be a fan of boxers whose style I like or something about them that I like. I was a big Trinidad fan even though I'm black I still picked him to beat and wanted him to beat the black fighters he faced.

I cheered for Tyson, Roy Jones and James Toney every time they stepped up against anybody white, black or purple.

I've noticed though that Floyd's fan base is rather divided meaning white and latino boxing fans want him to lose while black fans want him to win.

I'm white. I don't know if Floyd would make my top ten favorite fighters, but I really enjoy and look forward to his fights. He's a technical master, the best since Sweet Pea. How can you not admire someone who can fight backing up so well?

Mayweather will always be prejudged.....it's called reality. I am definitely a fan, although I dont agree with all of his antics, nonetheless, i would never speak about him in a negative manner. It really doesn't matter what race you are. People GENERALLY classify you accordingly anyway. And for the record...YES i'm African American and proud of it. Fans should remain as such... Overwhhelming yourself with a fighters personal issues is pointless. With that said....Respect that man for his Skills ...cuz thats what it's all about.
