I wonder has anyone ever questioned Joe Calzaghe as to what he said to Lacy at the end of the 7th round?

i'm guessing he was saying


"Thank you for being so overrated Jeff. I'm going to milk this win to the day I die"

I wouldn't place much stock in Calslappy's win over a glorified slugger like Jeff Lacy. Kessler is on another boxing level and is going to knock Joe-Shmoe out!

It was a superb display no doubt and proberly the most one sided title fight in years, but lacys style of wide slow arching hooks was taylor made for joe. Plus lacy was green in experience compared to joe.

I know he was relatively green and got the Calzaghe fight in one of his first defeses while Joe had been world champion for almsot a decade. Jeff had plan A and nothing else. Plan A may be good enough most of the time, but in order to be great you need to find and develop a great plan B. Lacy didn;'t have that and may never develop that

totally agree with you. I have a sneeking su****ion that kessler may suffer the same problem as joes style is so hard to adapt to and train for and if kessler hasn't prepared for joe's style then it he could be in for a long painful night.
