only when he has someone on the ropes he will flurry and slap like a *****. just like when he fought manfredo. manfredo was not even getting hurt with those flurrys. in the post fight interview manfredo said calzaghe was hitting him with amature punches. calzaghe actually punches and hit hard when he is in th center of the ring. thats where he shows his power

No he doesn't slap. That's an old wives tale that haters conjured up to bring him down. Just like Floyd being a runner. It's ****ing sickening to hear some of the **** these idiots come up with.

I'm not attacking you or nothing but who did Mayweather lose to?

..as for the thread I think Calzaghe slaps only in his flurries, he can unleash his opens hands faster than he can with his closed fists, when you throw a punch with power you throw it as hard and as stiff as you can for best damage but when you look to shoot rapidly and and basically daze an opponent those slapping style punches are perfect, if thrown right you can really unload and it lets you preserve the more premeditated punches, for instance you throw a quick flurry with those semi open hands and you land 4 out 6 and to finish it off you land a big power blow, the flurry will overwhelm them and the closed fist will daze him.. against Lacy Calzaghe knew when to flurry and he knew when to hit clean he just strategizes on it, he follows the flow of the tide.. 100

*for the record I don't mean slapping like on some ***** **** but I mean those semi open hands, they make for quicker release and when they land they hit more of the face than what a regular punch would, I don't mean it in no hating way, it's actually smart, imagine having someone like Joe wailing out 8 punches from your body to your face all landing cleanly? and then finished off with a closed hand power bomb to seal the deal, I can't he slaps people but hwne he punches not everytime it's with a all the way closed fist which, like I just said, is VERY smart, those punches daze a ******

Yes dont get it twisted. I mean "slapping" the style of his punches. If you watch him fight it doesnt look like he punches properly

His punches are unorthodox but there clean. As for Manfredo, is his punches were so amateurish them why didn't he throw back???

He left the referee with no option but to stop the fight, by the letter of the law.

I think i read a Calzaghe interview where he said that he punched in that way because of his weak hands.
