I still believe Mosley's speed gives Mayweather problems if he gets off first. I used to think it was a win for Mosley, but I give Floyd more respect than that now. Floyd would win a UD, 8-4.

Shane Mosley vs. Floyd Mayweather at ANY weight wouldnt be a good fight for mosley.

        why?

well he's 35 now...he will be at LEAST 36 (possibly 37) by the time this fight would occur (count it...each have their fights this year plus count on a 4-6 month layoff...then a tune up fight...then a few more months lay off...THEN the fight)

Floyd Mayweather Jr. would utilize a gameplan similar to what he used against oscar de la hoya...that was let shane tire himself out.

shane DOES have the handspeed however i think he's getting old and mayweather will let him tire and then pick up the rounds in the last part of the fight for a SD or MD...

i like mosley but im not insane or blind, he is getting up there in age and floyd is at the top of his game.

this would only put another name on mayweather's resume who is past their prime...

mosley in his prime would beat mayweather by SD. (dont think he'd knock him out)

in his prime beat floyd by sd?? interesting prediction.. tell ya right now if floyd actually tries to fight mosley sometime in near future, im not being biased.. I honestly just see Mosley being too strong for floyd, along with his speed, he is just too much. prime mosley??? lord it wouldnt be pretty.

Here is a boxer who OWNED a prime Delahoya TWICE. Floyd couldnt even own an old DLH.

            Prime Mosley KO8 Floyd.

I think that the best thing for the sport and for us the fans is that the winners of those two bouts fight each other...

Floyd by UD on this one because if Vernon Forrest couldn't stop Shane then Mayweather definitely wont BUT he can out box him and maybe catch a flash knock down or two..

Shane can do the same but it's the techniques, Mayweather premeditates EVERY punches, notice closely how he uses his elbow to create punching space, he did it against Gatti and Chavez, so even when he throws his combos he's not wailing off at you but Shane just explodes when he's caught in an exchange, he goes a little blind then snaps into once out of the exchange, on the outside or making his way in Shane takes his time but once engaged in a exchange he goes off, I think Floyd can exploit that and get the better of it by simply countering and keeping it moving.. Floyd UD. 100
shane also closes his eyes a lot when he throws combos in exchanges which will prove costly if h efights floyd who's eyes are his foundation. he has more skill than shane but throws better punches that don't look sloppy which shane has done so many times. floyd would beat mosley if they fought because he is a smarter fighter than shane. shane has all the physical attributes like his speed and good power but he does get hit a lot and his movment is suspect. shane should have fought floyd at 135 or 140. it would have been a better fight a few years ago which floyd would have still won but not as easy. mayweather would prove he is too smart for shane if they fought

no, he didn't own oscar twice, get it right. he defeated oscar in two good fights. floyd defeated oscar who put up a decent fight but missed many punches. seeing how shane fought oscar when oscar was still an active fighter and floyd defeated oscar in which should have been a unanimous decison and nearly a knockout your point proves nothing. shane fighting oscar and floyd fighting oscar has nothing to do with them fighting each other. floyd moved up in weight and shane was bigger than oscar. it's about shane and floyd's styles and mayweather's style is too elusive all around for shane to damage, but shane's style isn't too much of anything for floyd not to damage, trust me.

Did you just use a post with my patented phrase "skill and will" in it Wlad? You seriously think a 36 year old Mosley will beat Mayweather. Him beating Floyd in his prime is debatable and him winning now is slim to none. However Shane is disciplined and stays in shape year round. He may be able to stay sharp enough to make the fight more than competitive. Floyd is just to accurate and to smart in that ring. I would give him the UD in the fight.
