Definitely Juan Diaz, look for Berto and Chavez to step up with at least one of them fighting for an alphabet title by the end of 2008. Someone will emerge unified from the 140 division. I think it will be either Torres or Witter with one of them defeating Malignaggi and then both meeting in a unification bout near the end of the year. Israel Vaquez will become a superstar and Miranda will be back. The biggest year will go to Kelly Pavlik as he wins a rematch with Taylor and cleans out the MW division while picking up another belt.

I think Kermit Cintron will certainly be more talked about by the end of 2008. Juan Diaz is another big one. Both Berto and Chavez I have my reservations about.

i like guzman alot..
berto, doesnt offer too much promise.. let explain why.. he has good boxing ability. but he can be hit.. i didnt see the fight he got knocked down in but he definately stopped throwing punches and hopped around when estrada landed some shots.. his chin will be tested

Victor Ortiz will most likely get a title shot against Ricardo Torres if he gets by Carlos Maussa.. thats my pick.
