Why Mayweather is more Popular than Hopkins

Both men are P4P fighters, Hopkins has been #1 for some time and Floyd is currently #1 right now. The reason why Floyd Mayweather is more popular than Bernard Hopkins is because Floyd was a undefeated multiweight champ who talks a lot to promote fights. Hopkins has a better resume still he does'nt earn nearly as much as Floyd or his PPV's dont do nearly as much. I heard Hopkins-Tarver and Hopkins-Wright done **** numbers, I mean Hopkins has Knocked out Felix Trinidad and Oscar De La Hoya, defended his titles 20 times, dominated Antonio Tarver and beat Winky Wright, but still not many people come to see his fights? I know some of you will say boring, but the man still wins, and thats what is important to come out with a W.

I dont even think Hopkins has a better resume, he has fought better opponents, but he lost to his best opponent in RJJ and struglled badly with Taylor twice.
His achivements at 175 are impressive, but people need to take them for what they are, a decision win against an overhyped fighter in Tarver and a close decision over Winky fighting 21 pounds above his original weight and at the tail end of his career.

Debatable. I'd say 70% of the forum would probably disagree.

So it's not impressive that a 40+ year old man moved up in weight and became the Undisputed LHW champion and then defended the title against the sports #2 maybe #1 depending on your preference P4P fighter?

              lol.

I don't give a **** if Wright moved up.......he fought a competitive fight and wasn't prepared for the violence that Hopkins brought. Simple as that.

As for Parody........he's right. Floyd might be the biggest draw outside of DLH now. That's been established.

He has a huge ****ing fan base.

Hopkins has the bigger names in his resume, I agree about the Oscar/Tito fights but still they were bigger names still confusing how Hopkins is so underrrated and gets less attention, Its like if floyd faces Kostya or Pacquiao people can say whatever they like but still they are names in boxing. Thats the reason RJJ is fighting Trinidad...which i think is crazy. Should Floyd beat Hatton (Even though Floyd would'nt agree) I think its a good name to add to his resume, A young prime fighter who is 2 weight champion and undefeated.
