Mayweather Will Thrive On Hatton Pressure
Floyd Mayweather Jr insists pressure alone from Ricky Hatton will not be enough to beat him when the undefeated pair clash for Mayweather’s WBC welterweight crown in Las Vegas on December 8.
Hatton said last week that his trademark pressure tactics will be the key to victory but Mayweather’s business advisor Leonard Ellerbe does not believe this to be the case.
"A number of great trainers have worked with Floyd’s opponents and they all think that’s the way to make Floyd feel uncomfortable,”said Ellerbe. “They’ve all tried and they all come up with the same results."
Mayweather himself reiterated Ellerbe’s statement saying: "On December 8 we welcome the pressure. We fight better going backwards."
