Who Knows?........ anything?.......... about this guy Povetkin. With such a short resume, there is room for doubt? Or maybe the fight will be reminiscent of......... Holyfield?........................Ibragimov?

That's the fun; we've got a real prospect with some serious prospect moves that hint at strong futures. It's aheavyweight worth watching early for the first time in a while.

I have seen a few of his fights and he is good but from what i have seen nothing special, he didnt do that well against donald which was one hell of a boring fight. i have picked byrd by close SD. although i wont judge povetkin till after th byrd this is when we will see what he is made of.

Donald was dull, but also effective. Not every fight for anyone is good. Tyson even had a couple dull ones on the way up.

If Chris Byrd has any sense he will go back to being Chris Byrd and stop trying to pretend he is Joe Frazier. Then we will see how good Povetkin really is.
the bigger question is can byrd get back to his elusive style?? I dont think so,,,,he's 37 yrs old now and it doesnt help that he took a ferocious beating from wlad in his last big fight. I think pov wins this fight fairly easily on points or late stoppage

You almost wonder if Byrd and Chambers would be a bad back-to-back. Povetrkin needs to test at least one giant to get used to it before Wlad. Maybe McCline after the tourney?

Didn't do well against Larry Donald? He won every minute of every round against a guy who has only been stopped once. I hope you'll come back here after Povetkin squashes Byrd.
