last I heard, HBO was interested in doing a Williams-Cintron fight for february, with Chris Arreola on the undercard, possibly against David Tua.

kind of sucks that Williams only got to fight once in 2007 though, especially cause he's a young guy who just won a title in a good scrap against Margarito, and then he kind of gets shelved for the rest of the year.

he should have lined up some stay busy fights. even if they are easy wins, who cares, they are wins and they keep your name out there. not every fight needs to be a huge fight.

Exactly. But, Williams is still in pain from the Margarito fight. Its been forever since he and Margarito fought. All of a sudden he's wants to proctet his belt he just won, see he's no differnt then most champions.

well, if he takes the fight with cintron, he's not protecting the belt that well. I think he is going to be in the mix at WW for a while. i think he will lose to cintron, but that doesnt mean that much for me, anyway, it's just a style mismatch. he is more than good enough to stay in this mix for a while. i really want to see him fight floyd sometime. i think he gives floyd fits.

yuh but those fights wont get on tv/ hbo and showtime have exhausted their resources for 2007. if he aint gonna fight on tv than why fight? you aint really putting your name out there if you aint on tv.

baby needs a ? grow up. you remind me of the kid who gets his ass whooped and still says "yuh but i get in one lick." who cares? your boy lost. get over it. margarito could have lost every round, and you still would have came up with some lame excuse as to why margarito should have got the W. you are the only person that i dislike on the SCENE and you have single handedly made me root against mexican fighters now. Thanks.

With his size and length at WW I felt like it would be awhile before a top fighter fought him again. He's a fit for whoever he fights plus with as many punches as he throws, no wonder nobody has been knocking on his door to fight.
