    Byrd or Povetkin??

    Who you got?

    Byrd - 6'0, 34 Years Old - won 40 (KO 21) + lost 3 (KO 2) + drawn 1

    Losses: Wlad x2, Ibeabuchi

Best Wins: Willimason, McCline, Tua, (Not sure if we should include the injured Vitali and Holyfield)

    ---------------------------

    Povetkin - 6'2, 28 Years Old - won 13 (KO 10) + lost 0 (KO 0) + drawn 0
Best Wins: Larry Donald, Friday Ahunanya, Livin Castillo

Only decent competition Povetkin really faced is Donald.
With only 13 pro-fights, Is Povetkin ready for Byrd? I'm having second thoughts now..

Yea, Povetkin is green, and Byrd's crafty style spells trouble for anyone. I think Povetkin will win this one though. Byrd is not what he used to be.

on Paper Byrd def. wins.. 13 wins is sure not enough to go against a highly skilled veteran.. but who knows...

It will sure be a Boxing match the outcome of which will depend on Byrd's hunger. Does he still have it? I think knowing what's at the end of this journey for Byrd (Klitschko) is sure discouraging

I have to go with Byrd Unless he got really really old since the last time I saw him.. He will be too slick and experienced for Povetkin...IMO

A class heavyweight southpaw Vet v.s. pretty solid but limited B class prospect. I'd say it's a Byrd UD and boring one at that.

i am half german, but i have too admit that it's very difficult too win on point against a local fighter in germany, and since byrd doesn't have the power to knock povetkin out it could end with a robbery, what a shame...

Its Just too BIG a step up in class TOO soon... Do you remember David Reid?? Olympian, Decent Fighter.. Solid Skills.. Lots of potential.. Started Fighting C level fighters fighters right away.. and was beating them..Even fought a B leveler or 2 all before his 15th pro fight..
When he was 14-0 with 7 KO's some one had the bright idea of Putting the Kid in with Tito Trinidad who was 36-0 and Lt Middle Champ.. Reid lasted the 12 but he was beaten from pillar to post and was never the same again.. he retired 4 fights later.. Now Byrd is no Trinidad.. But the jump in Levels is comparable..

                    1 - don't compare 36-0 Tito to Byrd
2 - he did beat Donald in like very round
