    Lord Almighty

I didn't even realize the incredible ass-beating that took place the first time I watched this (I was still in my boxing infancy stage), but wow... just wow.

Check out the punchstats at the end of this bout, stopped before the end of the 6th round, can you imagine if it had gone 12? Yes, I know it was only scheduled for 8.

Damn, that was quite a beating. Paul Willams looks like a Super Middleweight in there, he has to be the biggest Welterweight of all time.

Hey DWeins, how do you think your boy Mayweather would do against Williams ?

No idea... haven't seen Paul against someone with speed or credible defense.

Alternatively, I have never seen Floyd in against someone who is a head taller than him.

However, the bright spot for Mayweather in all of this is that if HBO measurements are correct (verified by more than one fight), Mayweather Jr. has longer arms than Williams.

The question is whether Paul will stop throwing so much if all his shots are being blocked, if so, Mayweather can win a decision. If not, then I think Mayweather will have to pull something special out.

Boxrec has Williams with a 82" wingspan and Mayweather with a 72". Williams would have to have a some seriously broad shoulders if his arms are shorter than Mayweather's if these measurements are correct.

That's exactly what I said. But looking at his match with Pakau, his shoulders are quite broad... idk what to think about the reach issue. That's why I tagged it with, "if HBO's measurements are correct."

Williams against Mitchell will offer some clues as to how he'd do against Mayweather. And the answer is: badly. He gets hit way too often and way to cleanly and spend much of the fight awkwardly swatting at air. Mayweather is too clever for Williams by far. Williams has all the physical advantages but Mayweather has all the mental ones.

Don't say god's name in vain. That being sad, Paul worked him out easily, those are the type of fights that really mess up a fighters career.

I've been trying to verify williams arm length. I found a couple places that put his arms shorter than Mayweather and Cintron, but my brain has a tough time comprehending that. If this is true, I think Cintron is an even tougher matchup for him than I previously thought. Can we get someone to find out for sure what williams arm length is? maybe someone on here trains in the same gym, etc?
