Well? I would say so.
Is Ricardo Mayorga's power overrated?

I agree, he hasn't shown any great power since he left welterweight. I still love watching him fight though.Comment

He had a heap of Power at Welter, ask Forrest. Ever since he came up to fight Tito, his power has been lacking. I can't remember a fighter who's jumped up in weight and carried their power with them.
But in saying that, I don't hear a lot of people craping on about his power, I think with Mayorga it's the pure all out brawling style which people take to.Last edited by brently1979; 10-23-2007, 10:31 PM.Comment

mayorga's power was evident a bit @ 147. mayorga made himself a great career on being an enigma at first but then ultimately revealing himself as C class fighter.
i cannot believe that he beat, had to be their worst days, vernon and 6 heads.Comment

People dont rate him high anymore. At 147 the 2002 Mayorga, was hungry. I really think after Don King gave him a few million he softend up. The futher away from 147, the wose it is. This ****ing Vargas fight is crazy. I heard they moved the weight limit from 162 to 165. Just goes to prove Don King doesnt give a **** about him, he will ring every cent out of him till he folds. He has been set up for failure from the time he won his frist belt.Comment
