    serious question.
    crackhead to a champ

because there you need alot of will power not only for the drugs but people you know but convict only has to leave the people he knows.

Drug addiction is no joke it like a black hole sucking you inside and need alot of determination to get out.

For convict e****ally if he is not invovle in gang or only a local small gang it is easy for them to go out of that life

I like him, and aside from the Hopkins fight he is always entertaining to watch. Hugely underrated as a puncher also.

I like Tarver a lot, Tarver is a class act and he knows how to use his time in front of the camera but much like Taylor you can tell that deep down inside he's humble yet confident, he's a natural born competitor and he is VERY strong.. people bash him for losing to Hopkins but what they don't take into consideration is the dramatic weight changes that took effect on his body, he went from 175 to 222 pounds ya feel me, it takes it's toll on you and sucks the life out of you come fight night, it's the reason Miguel Cotto had so much trouble at JWW because he struggled so much to lose the weight, it drained him mentally and it showed in his performance and then against someone like Bernard Hopkins with his literally head first, slick style of fighting it was worse because it wasn't like he was facing a chump he was facing a man who for over 10 years didn't lose..

visibly you can see that the Tarver who fought Hopkins wasn't the one who fought Jones, he wasn't as on point or tuned in, he put up a good effort but there was obviously something else involved there, like Jones he took that Heavyweight trip and even gained more than Jones by 22 pounds so imagine how much harder it was on Tarver than it was on Jones to get up there, true that no one forced him to do the movie but would you have said no? didn't think so..

Tarver is a strong, talented man and he's a good personality for the camera, he still has many potential fights in his division, he can fight Winky Wright if Winkys plans fall short, he can fight Dawson or the winner of Trinidad-Jones, he can rematch Hopkins while Hopkins waits for the Calzaghe-Kessler winner to decide wether to go against Pavlik or him, there's just so many potential bouts, imagine Tarver-Calzaghe, that would be great yo I just feel like Tarver is a charismatic guy and I respect his hustle, I pass by crack heads everyday sleeping on the park benches in my hood and that "crack head" out grew that life, made a name for himself in something positive and KO'ed for the 1st time a one of a kind fighter in Jones, a living legend. Tarver gets my respect because he earned it and I tell you the truth I can't wait t see him come back.. 100
