Jorge Arce Facing A Filipino In December?

The word is out that Jorge Arce is going to face Wyndel Janiola, a Cebu-based Filipino, in a fight slated on the first week of December in New Mexico. It will be for the WBC Latino Bantamweight title.

A check of BoxRec shows that Janiola has a record of 19-4 with 9 KO's. He has never been stopped. Although he fought mostly in Philippine arenas he has travelled to Mexico, Japan, Cambodia and South Africa. In Cambodia he decisioned former WBC LightFly champ Saman Sorjatorong. He lost an IBO LightFlyweight bid in South Africa and also failed in a try at the OPBF crown in Japan.

A couple of years ago, he faced Eric Ortiz in Tijuana, was KD'd in the fifth and lost by TD.
