Also someone said Cotto cuts the ring off well, but he isn't that great at that. Quintana got away from him and out of corners pretty well, but he couldn't tkae the shots. I think Mosley will just pull it out and take advantage of that hittable defense that Cotto has.
Quintana is pretty good fighter I think he could beat Mosely too. too bad he got bad promoters so it will be long til we hear from him.

When cotto defened he only moves forward abit and covers the shot with his gloves. but he is weakness could be an uppercuts and counter punch is Mosely is going for KO and he need to be patience with it.

Mosely is expecting Cotto to go for the body which he does every fight and then if he cant go for the body he jabs abit to find an opening for his straight right and then goes for the left hook to the body. Cotto got a good jab at the Zab fight.

judah has equally fast hands as mosley does, judah caught the quickest boxer on the planet[floyd] a couple of times.when you are a left hooker and you're facing a southpaw when you're coming in to attack your gonna get caught with the left hand.cotto is not ali.you act like the mosley he's fighting is mosley at lightweight.

you're taking my post out of context.if he was trained by mayweather senior you would have a point in comparing him to tyson or duran.so you don't

I Know exactly what you were trying to say. Only comparison i made to Tyson or Duran is that they were come forward fighters(stalkers) like Cotto, but they were able to not get hit like he does. Your pt was that he doens't have A Cus to teach him that and mind was he better get one. which is true, he need to learn how not to get hit so damn much by conventional or southpaws!

Even if Mosley had disadvantages in speed and power I would pick Shane. I would take a Mosley 5 years older to beat Cotto. He's multiple levels above Miguel in terms of skill, experience, and ring intelligence. Shane Mosley is also one TOUGH son of a *****. He loves to brawl and is at his best during wild exchanges and intense action.

Cotto is an extremely limited fighter. The only elite opponent Miguel has ever been in with was a guy notorious for everything Shane Mosley ISN'T. Poor stamina, poor concentration, questionable determination, questionable chin, questionable packaging.. Shane Mosley is a complete fighter with exceptional ability. Zab Judah gave Cotto the "toughest fight of his life" throwing about 4 punches a round. What does that tell you?

Again, Miguel Cotto is a limited fighter. He lunges in with stiff leads and then collapses to the body with combinations. He swtiches stances and mixes up his punching but this is a thinly veiled illusion. He only does one thing.

Cotto has beaten his opponents with clever committment to vulnerable parts of the body. Not with raw power. He hits hard, but more so; he hits often. There are no special effects with Cotto. Just workmanlike consistency. If you take away Cotto's body punching what do you have? Not much. Basically a tough kid who's not very fast, not at all devastating to the head, not clever about his choices.. You have a sitting duck. Not only does he have a poor defense, when punches start flying he has a tendency to freeze up and flounder. He's absolutely terrible during exchanges and when he's being attacked.

Shane Mosley is not afraid to be hit. He's not afraid to be hurt. He's actually a bit of a kamikaze. He'll stay within his envelope, but make him mad or land something eye-catching and Shane will put something on you. Something very meaningful. He understands momentum and urgency as well as any fighter alive. Shane Mosley does not willingly allow himself to fall behind. If he can't beat you doing one thing, he'll try several things simultaneously to overwhelm and confuse you. Particularly hard power punches to the head and body. Shane is not a guy you can beat down. Not whatsoever.

Cotto is going to be the architect of his own demise in this fight. He's going to hit Mosley with the kind of shots that irritate and excite Shane. The kind of shots that Mosley is going to explosively counter. Miguel overcommits to everything, not just his hard stuff. His leads, his jabs, ect. Miguel also has somewhat clumsy legs. Even if he had the instincts to roll out and retaliate properly he doesn't have the natural qualities to facilitate ANY dog fight. This contest is going to become a brawl sooner than later and when it does Miguel Cotto is going to find himself in hell.

This is going to be satisfying.

For this to even come into your conciousness means only one thing..

You are a ****ing massive peeon.

I'm damn proud to be Boxing obsessed. When I'm not here reading articles and posting I'm watching tapes, going to the gym, and boring anyone I can with conversations about the artform. Unfortunately, in my part of the world Boxing is not as popular as it should be, so I have few outlets..

I know everything about losers like you, pesti******.

Your insecurity is painful for everyone. All things obvious are..

                    I feel for you, dude.
