Taylor looked better swell and neat pre-Steward against Hopkins he used his long effective reaching jab which won him the fight but now he doesnt do that and that what making him look bad.

Taylor should concetrate on boxing than on brawling and he will be semi-flawless.

In the Winky fight it was more of Talyor making alot of flaws in the fight that lost him couple of round I got it a draw. Winky was winning at the 11th but he started to dance around he lost the 12th.

All the Steward fighters both past and present listened to his instructions and Taylor doesnt and just like Pepe Correa says in the contender you lost simply because you diddnt follow instructions

I dont think he is overrated it more of a jigsaw puzzle some trainers are more suited for some fighters visa versa.

As well as at the end of the day it is the boxer who is going in the ring and not trainer.

Manny Steward has two fighters right now, Johnathon Banks and Andy Lee who have been trained by manny since the very start of their professional careers. Banks is 1 fight away from challenging for Enzo Macc's cruiserweight title, most of you steward "experts" dont even know that. Lee will be on the world class stage in 18-24 months... they have blossomed into excellent boxer punchers under manny, and i have little doubt that they will both someday to be added to the VERY VERY LONG LIST OF WORLD CHAMPIONS TRAINED BY MANNY STEWARD

It seems to me that Steward should drop Jermaine Taylor. I like Jermaine, but I just dont know if he wants to be the kind of fighter Steward likes. Steward wants a fighter who will be a student and will devote their life to this sport, and Taylor just isnt that type. After this Pavlik rematch they should just go their seperate ways and Steward should focus his time on Cintron and Andy Lee, two guys that buy into Steward completely. Wlad seems to buy into his philosophy as well, and he follows instructions and trains even when not in camp. Cintron and Lee walk around at about 10lbs over their weight classes limit, something that shows extreme disclipline. Taylor doesnt have that discipline. He is a great fighter, just not a great manny steward fighter.

Maybe Taylor ought to drop Steward. Steward totally mismanaged the fight against Pavlik. Horrible job.
