Ohh yeah Television, before any champ or any fighter would fight on any day of the week....Some would have 4-6 fights a month sometimes...Back their television wasnt their main exposure and they didnt rely on it. However today if you are a boxer and a good one, The boxer usually demands to be on tv....

Back then they relied on radio and that could be broadcasted anywhere on any station and just the press of the papers....


Visual media killed boxing in an aspect....


Back in the day though fighters would fight for like 10-15k a fight (or more or less) and fight 4 times in a month...Today most people wont step in the ring once every 3 months unless it is for like a million dollars.
