Who should Juan Carlos Gomez fight next?

Should he fight Virchis or Thompson or maybe rahman??
Gomez is the WBC mandatory but first Peter will fight Maskaev and the winner of that will fight vitali so it will take about 1 year till gomez gets the shot.

I’d say Rahman, James Toney, Tye Fields, etc.; basically a ‘high or semi high’ profile opponent without helluva lot of risk…

Virchis...there's no reason for him and Thompson to face off seeing as they're both #1 contenders for different belts, Thompson should be signing to face Ibragimov

Virchis is a good opponent and winnable for Gomez

        Rahman is a turd

I'd like to see him fight Thompson.

Hell, I'd like to see ANY of the highly touted up & coming US heavyweights fight a major international opponent, so we can see what they have to offer.

Gomez-Vichis would be a good bout, but would slightly favour Vichis in this one.
When it comes down to it, Gomez is still a blown up cruiser, & Vichis is a very good sized heavyweight with excellent handspeed & skills for a big man.

Think it will be enough to tip the scales against Gomez down the stretch.

It looks like it's going to be a while before he gets a shot at the title. The fear is he'll lose concentration again and slip up; if he does that it's over for him. Hopefully he'll stay focused and show just how good he is by giving Klitschko a lot of problems.

Gomez was a cruiser, but he's a rangy guy with a long reach and has the tools needed to finally become heavyweight champion.

A fight with Rahman would be good and plus the fight could have a possiblity to be on Versus. A good showing on TV maybe would probably help him out.
