Who do you blame though? The "business men" that try to make a buck? Or the fans for paying to see some of these wack ass fights? I bet if the fans were to boycott the PPV's they would give us boxing for free. Really how many times can people pay to watch several fighters lose? Com'n DLHvs PBF broke all records, and it was a lame ass fight. Now Taylor vs Pavlik would've been a great fight to watch on PPV, but they chose to give it free.

But theres just SOO much they could be doing for Boxings sake. Boxing could really be a big sport, or at least a much bigger sport then it is now, in a few years.

I REALLY want to do something in boxing, hopefully i can get a job with HBO and share my ideas cause i really think i could help

See, the problem with Ross Greenburg or whatever his name is, is he got the job BEFORE he was a boxing fan. he BECAME a fan as the years went by.

I think a HUGE BOXING fan, could do a better job
You might have some great ideas, but there's alot more to it than just great ideas to make it happen. You also have to think about the budget that you have to work with.

Fight fans often ask why numerous PPV undercards have been ****ty. It's because those particular PPVs, the promoters could only afford certain fighters that are willing to fight in those undercards. It can be a budget issue and it can also be greediness on the promoters part. That's why the UFC has been successful in that department, they've put on great undercards in recent years, because it's all in-house, they have alot more control on what they do, and that's part of the reason that the UF*-H80 negotiations went sour as well.

Doesn't get anymore sensical than that, AMEN.

I've never paid for a PPV by myself, its always been my buddies and I chipping in and having a BBQ. Having moved away from my hometown, its not quite the same. since then, I often miss out on the big PPV fights, and my current network of friends don't give a rat's @ss about boxing. However, this year has been a great year for boxing and am looking forward to buying the Cotto -Mosley fight, and other fights in the horizon that's making my mouth water, I might as well splurge on several PPVs. I'm too much of a fan to miss out on certain PPV fights coming up. I haven't seen these type of matchups in my generation. A Soto - Guzman fight(not a ppv fight), although not a high-profile one, would've never taken place back in the days.

Now, I want me some Casamayor - Twan Diaz. I'd like King to take a chance with his new mini -"hype"- machine, if this fight doesn't take place soon, Casa will be walking around in a cane before we know it.

no thats what im trying to say. if im making money hand over fist wether the fights are lame or not im going to keep on doing it. thtas why i said not everyone is going to boycot boxing its just not going to happen. bc personally i want to see jones fight and i cant watch it if im boycotting it. i mean yes they would change things if a boycot was on but there wont be and never will be. and on taylor pavlik being on ppv i agree. but taylor is not a big name fighter lets face it. he is overrated. i mean i think he's got the tools but he just hasnt fought any good fights since bhops and again very very very close fights both that could have gone the other way.

                  which also rediculous by HBO

Cotto-Judah was the PERFECT fight to make free. its sure to be the start of a GREAT career and it was an AWSOME performance.

Instead of the great views it would have gotten if it were free, only 200,000 buys.

Cotto isnt that big a PPV draw, but keeping him on PPV only is NOT going to help
