Don Turner: "John Duddy Can Shock Kelly Pavlik"

World famous trainer Don Turner told the Belfast Telegraph that his new fighter, John Duddy (22-0, 17KOs), has all the tools to score an upset over WBO/WBC middleweight champion Kelly Pavlik (32-0, 29KOs). [details]

John Duddy has no chance in hell, his face is gonna get messed up badly and he will be KO'd brutally.

To quote Raging Bull " He ain't pretty no more "

Bob Arum is gonna be repeating that quote ringside on Jan.26

Should be a reasonably exciting fight for as long as it lasts, but when it comes down to it Pavlik is not only quite a bit bigger than Duddy, he's got the better skills & top-level experience.

Pavlik TKO 7 is my guess.

Duddy's people need to try and position him for a shot at the WBA title, he will get destroyed by Pavlik. Sturm is easily the weakest belt holder and that might be a close fight.

What's Duddy's trainer supposed to do, predict his fighter is going to lose?

This is a really bad match for Duddy, he's going to get seriously hurt. Great for Pavlik's first defence though.

i disagree with the statement that "Duddy had no trouble with Prince"

In fact, that fight just reinforced the fact that Pavlik ends it quickly.

The Prince has a weak jab, followed by a sloppy and weak straight right hand... But he STILL landed a few times with ease in the first round and early 2nd round.

Pavlik Hits a BILLION times harder, Throws his jab a BILLION times harder. Its a strong jab and a sturdy one, and all it would take is a few straight right hands from Pavlik to end it.

If the prince did it, imagine if Pavlik does it
