It was one year ago today that Mike Tyson started what was supposed to be a comeback tour of exhibition fights, that if successful might of lead Tyson to a real comeback, here's what happened .
Tyson and Corey "T-Rex" Sanders huffed-and-puffed their way through four rounds in front of about 4,000 fans in a 6,000-seat minor league hockey arena in Youngstown, Ohio. Both men wore t-shirts and 16-ounce gloves. Sanders wore headgear, while Tyson - sporting his trademark black shoes and black trunks - elected not to use headgear.
Tyson was the aggressor throughout. Sanders, who provided little opposition, was dropped early in round one, with Tyson having to hold him up, and then he took some big shots in both the third and fourth rounds. As an exhibition bout, there was no decision.
The World Tour was still being talked about after, with Tom Jones and Anne Wolfe's names coming up in Tyson talks, but after the poor number's and bad press about the fight, the World Tour ended.
You never know what could have happened if this Exhibition had been better received, Tyson might not be in the in the place he's in now, or maybe those trouble's would have still been there, you never know.
