Anyway.....Catubay was expected to lose on Vic's comeback fght since his devastating loss. I didn't expect it to last 12 rounds.

VIC Darchinyan - NEW IBO Super Flyweight World Champ!

Yaaa... VIC is slowly rising to the top again...

      From *********...

      Darchinyan stops Catubay!

      Saturday, October 20 2007

Former flyweight champion Vic Darchinyan (29-1, 23 KOs) had a tougher than expected return to the ring before stopping game Frederico Catubay (20-14, 11 KOs) at 2:03 of round twelve on Saturday at the Auburn RSL club, Auburn, New South Wales, Australia. Darchinyan dropped Catubay in rounds seven and eleven en route to winning the IBO 115lb world title. (More to come)

Do you know if there is any chance of a rematch with Donaire? Vic should have had a rematch clause in his contract.

Is it just me or is the IBO getting more popular as of late? Maybe it'll bump one of the main 4 (well 5, but I count the ring as pretty much the true one, so let's say 4) bodies out of the loop.

ya, id love to see that rematch...VIC will come in a different fighter for that one, hungrier than ever... to bad that bastard Gary Shaw didnt have the clause in the contract and doesnt want them to fight again anytime soon.

I heard Vic had serious problems with this bum and was almost knocked down himself. Everyone Vic DarCHINNYan faces from now on will try and take his head off again....he's done, stick a form in him.

i dont know too much about it... but having dropped Catubay both in the 7th and in the 11th, then having finished him off in the 12th... seemed like Catubay had the tougher time...

VIC is farrrrrrr from being done buddy... the best is yet to come..WITH VENGENCE.

If I was Vic Darchinyan, I'd say thanks, but no thanks.

To me, there is no recognized Flyweight champion who hasn't beaten Nonito Donaire.

IBO is not a world title

but instead of IBF it would of be better to have the WBF the 4 legitimate titles.

WBF?! LOL!! I would like the idea of the four titles (WBO/WBA/WBC/IBF) if the holders of the titles had tournament to find the real champ. IBO is a joke, I wonder if it is affiliated with the IBF because they seem to be held together quite often.
