The Bible Of Boxing Picks A Winner For Mosley vs. Cotto

Cotto won't be to wary of Mosley's power early on, possibly paying a price by getting buzzed once or twice. But as the fight progresses, Cotto's relentless pressure will gradually overcome Mosley's competitive drive. The Puerto Rican powerpuncher will wear down Mosley and duplicate what he did against Judah, stopping Sugar Shane in the 11th.
    The Ring, January 2008

    [sidenote]

The oddsmakers have picked Cotto again.

When I was in Las Vegas on June 9th, a funny thing happened to me on my way to betting on Zab Judah. The gentleman who worked at Sportsbook in the Excalibur Hotel/Casino tried to talk me out of it! He warned me that the oddsmakers had been dead on for the first half of 2007 and if Cotto was favored by as much as he was; Judah was probably going to lose. I thanked him for his suggestion and respectfully declined. The rest is shistory.

I don't think there's any way around it; Miguel Cotto is the favorite to win this fight. That's how it is. Period.

That's very possible. I disagree that it happens, though.

Valid point. I'm hoping that the oddmakers have it for Cotto.. just means I have the LIVE underdog to bet on.. Love that.

Im suprised, I expected Mosley to be the betting favorite.

This is far from the prime Mosley we've seen before. That version beats Miguel rather easily.

            Now Im not so sure.

That's pretty much the way I see this one unfolding too. By the late rounds I think Cotto will be in command of the fight.

Cotto is my favorite fighter and this will be the the 3rd fight of his im going to see live. Having said all that, I'm not completely bias and know that Mosley also has a good chance of a possible early KO or UD.

Regardless, this one's gonna be a dandy!!

Youth, drive and an undefeated record are on Cotto's side.

Cotto is near or at his peak, while Mosley, who is not exactly flush is nowhere near his prime. I have to agree with the late round win by Cotto on this one.
